MPF2026: THE PODCASTS
As always, we have some incredible live podcasts at MPF. They will take place upstairs at The Salutation and allow you to listen, reflect, laugh, discuss and maybe even thoughtfully stroke your chin about a huge range of subjects.
It’s a great privilege to welcome the Britain Palestine Project podcast with the show “Britain Recognised Palestine. Now What?” to our event.
Host, Diana Safieh is a third-culture kid with a lifelong instinct for exploring the underbelly, interrogating power, and championing the underdog. She has interviewed diplomats, historians, journalists and policy experts for rigorous, accessible conversations on Britain’s role in Palestine. Diana also co-hosts the true crime podcast Switchblade Sisters Social Club with Isla Coole of Criminally Good Books in York. Together, they exploit their worst fears for your entertainment.
At MPF, Diana will be joined by Dr Emma Luce Scali (international law expert, University of Manchester, UN consultant) for a live, no-BS conversation on what recognition actually means – and what it doesn’t.
The show will be cutting through the noise to ask:
- Is recognition just symbolic — or does it change anything real?
- Can you recognise a state that isn’t allowed to function as one?
- What’s the point of international law if no one enforces it?
- How do economics — debt, aid, trade — quietly control sovereignty?
- And most importantly: what happens next, and what can we actually do?
This isn’t a polite panel. It’s a sharp, honest breakdown of power, politics and accountability – live on stage. Recognition is the beginning. Come for the politics. Stay for the clarity. Leave knowing what actually matters next.

Our good mate Emmet (The Click Clacks) will also be bringing his radio show to the live environment. The Punk Beyond Borders live podcast is about how to exist and coexist in the diy punk scene. Think of it as a how-to from the who’s-who! We will have a panel of special guests discussing a wide range of topics such as: how to get gigs, how to organise a tour, how to release an album, how to get merch, how to secure funding, and much more in between!
How’s your hope? How’s your anger? Vandal Factory podcast is back at MPF.
Recharge with poet Henry Raby and theatre-maker Natalie Quatermass at our special raucous live recording full of heart, passion and ramshackle running orders.
Featuring loveable scamps Grail Guard and Kashmiri powerhouse Smoked Poets chatting about the magic moments where art and activism collide!
Hosted by the wonderful David and Cubesville, Under The Pavement Radio Show celebrates 25 years of anarchy on the airwaves next year.
Broadcast every other Thursday from 9pm on community radio station ALL FM 96.9 the show is a mix of DIY music and anarchist politics and features bands, musicians, writers, campaigners and activists. Cubesville also helped to write this very programme.
It’s always a pleasure to welcome back The Mid-Life Punk Podcast. The lockdown project that won’t die now enters its sixth year! Tom and the newly appointed Danny Barrett (of The Crash Mats) are continuing to navigate the aging process disgracefully and are dragging various guests from the DIY scene along for the ride. Guests last year included Spike Slawson of Spike and The Gimme Gimmes, Pulley, Horace Pinker and more. None of those people will be appearing at their show at this year’s MPF, but hopefully they’ll be there in spirit.
