MPF2025

Manchester Punk Festival will be taking place across Easter weekend, 18-20 April 2025.

We’ll have over 140 acts playing across our 7 venues. Super Early are SOLD OUT and Early Bird tickets are running low, so act quick on getting yours.

How we do what we do

MPF is what happens when you sit three different promoters in a pub to discuss starting something where the bands we know and love can play to new people who would appreciate them exactly the same as those who’ve supported them this far. We want to provide an environment where people want to watch bands they’ve never heard of alongside bands they love, and an environment for bands to play in front of their best friends and complete strangers.

We want everyone to feel comfortable and enjoy themselves at MPF, we take a zero-tolerance approach to any form of discrimination. Be good to each other, enjoy the festival and thanks so much for being a part of it. As some guy called Joe once said “without people, we’re nothing.”

We are inundated with requests to play MPF which, although flattering, means we can’t reply to everybody. We all run this festival in our spare time so feel free to drop a message, but please don’t be offended if we don’t get back to you. The roster of bands we work with is built from the ground up. If your band is active, gigging, and contributing to, the UK DIY punk rock community then we’ll know of you sooner or later!

We work with loads of great designers each year. Here is who we’ve worked with for MPF2025.

Venues

These are the venues that we used for MPF2025. All our venues are within walking distance of each other and play a great part in the live music scene in Manchester.

The running order for all stages is subject to change. Please check the running times posted at each stage on the day for the actual slot times. Although, we will try to stick to the published times and tell people though Twitter and Facebook of any changes.

Each stage has a set capacity. Once this is reached we will not be able to let anyone else in. This is particularly important for the more popular bands on the line-up. Please make sure you arrive early to the stage to ensure you get access.

Accessibility

Throughout the ten years of Manchester Punk Festival, we’ve been proud to say that our doors have been open to everyone. As one of our thousands of supporters, whether you travel to us across oceans, cover miles of road, or simply walk around the corner in the city centre, we believe in the ethos that punk is for all, and where barriers exist, we must break them down.

We have therefore always strived to provide the best possible experience for those with accessibility needs, and have always reassessed and considered possible changes to our format and processes in order to provide a more comfortable experience.

That’s why we have the following accessibility arrangements for this year’s Manchester Punk Festival:

  • More accessible venues than ever, as we add the Basement at Yes to replace Zombie Shack replacement
  • Improvement of accessible wristbands, to help you get the help you need faster
  • Introducing accessible wristband collections (details coming soon)
  • Free carer’s tickets for anyone requiring a companion

Also, for the very first time, there will be a single point of contact, John Porter, for information on accessibility at the festival, as we seek to streamline and improve the delivery of accessibility and the dissemination of accessibility information. It is hoped that these changes make the festival even more accessible than it has ever been before, as we seek to start our second decade with a bang. If you have any access needs, comments, questions, or suggestions, you can contact John at accessibility@manchesterpunkfestival.co.uk.

You can read about accessibility at MPF in more detail here.
